The transnational project brings together 7 partners from 5 EU countries (Germany, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Romania) and represents a strong interaction between scientists, service providers and relevant actors within the wine value chain. The consortium shows a high level of interdisciplinarity in bringing together a network of actors with various expertise in research areas relevant to Oenotrace.

HGU is a state university in the German state of Hesse, located in Geisenheim. Its origins date back to 1872 and it became an independent university on 1 January 2013. HGU combines the strengths of a traditional research university and a university of applied sciences. Research is both applied and theoretical, with an explicit focus on special crops, i.e. viticulture and horticulture including their various primary production and processing sub-sectors.
HGU has around 1,800 students in eight practice-oriented Bachelor programmes and nine research-based Master programmes. Doctoral students complete their doctorates in cooperation with renowned German and foreign universities.

BEIA Consult International is an SME company, founded in 1991, main activity domain and market - "Enterprise Communications", a large customer portfolio (over 6000 public/private customers, located in Romania). The company is developing an agricultural monitoring platform for monitoring ecological parameters and environmental telemetry.
BEIA has experience in sensor networks for real time monitoring (including seismic activity, radioactivity, tsunamis, marine / maritime activities) and telemetry systems for irrigation management (including sensors for measuring soil moisture, monitoring water uptake and calculating evapotranspiration), accurate water data (water sensors for hydrographic purposes, from precipitation to water level monitoring of lakes, rivers, wells) and efficient water management (leak and burst detection, pressure, flow, level and well monitoring).
